A Sweet New Chapter for Louisville
Alex Nessenthaler, Founder & CEO of SweetNess Ventures, is thrilled to bring Magnolia Bakery to her beloved hometown of Louisville. After spending over a decade in New York City, Alex and her family (husband Patrick and sons Beau and Rhett) decided to plant roots back in Louisville, where Alex originally grew up.
Magnolia Bakery was always one of the family's favorite treats while living in NYC. “Especially when I was feeling homesick for Louisville and my family,” Alex shares. “My grandma's banana pudding was always one of my favorites, so Magnolia held a special place in my heart from the very beginning.”
With nearly 20 years of fashion and retail leadership, most recently running North America Retail for Tory Burch, Alex brings a passion for creating bespoke, world-class retail experiences. Now she's channeling that expertise into bringing Magnolia Bakery's magic to Kentucky.
Our first location opens in Louisville's vibrant Nulu neighborhood, Fall 2026. We can't wait to have you try all the amazing desserts.
